Yorktown Police report the arrest of a twenty-six year old female Mahopac resident, who is charged with Driving While Intoxicated BAC .08% or More, and Driving While Intoxicated, both Unclassified Misdemeanors, and Speed In Zone, Fail to Signal a Lane Change and Fail to Maintain Lane, all Traffic Infractions.
On October 31, 2017 at about 9:20 am, Officer Campion was on routine patrol on Route 6 in the area of Mill St. when he observed a vehicle swerving in and out of the travel lanes. The vehicle was also speeding and the driver did not use a turn signal. Officer Campion conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle and the defendant was identified as the vehicle’s operator. After conducting an investigation and field sobriety tests, it is alleged that the defendant was driving while intoxicated. The defendant was arrested at the scene and transported to Yorktown Police Headquarters. The defendant was processed on the above charges and additionally charged with Driving While Intoxicated BAC .08% or More after the results of a breath test. The defendant was later arraigned by the Hon. Salvatore Lagonia, who set bail at $1,000 cash. The defendant was bailed out by a family member and is scheduled to appear in Yorktown Justice Court on November 14, 2017 at 6:00 pm. Comments are closed.
