Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 19-year-old Yonkers, NY, resident, who is charged with Criminal Mischief 4th degree, a Class A Misdemeanor.
On March 27, 2024, at approximately 2:00 PM, the defendant was in police custody at Yorktown Police Headquarters on an unrelated charge. While in the booking room, the defendant allegedly ripped phone wires out, rendering a police phone inoperable. The defendant then allegedly scratched several words into the paint on a booking room door, causing damage. The defendant was advised that he was now being charged with criminal mischief for the damage. Following processing on the above charge, the defendant was remanded to the Westchester County Jail for the unrelated charge. He is due back in Yorktown Justice Court for arraignment on this charge on April 11, 2024, at 6:00 PM. Comments are closed.
