Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 38 year old Croton man, who is charged with Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated, BAC .18 of 1% or More, and Driving While Intoxicated, both Unclassified Misdemeanors, as well as multiple traffic infractions.
On June 6, 2021 at 10:49 pm, Yorktown Police received a report of an erratic operator on Commerce Street heading westbound onto Route 202. Officer Lizarzaburu responded to the scene and observed the described vehicle. The vehicle allegedly failed to maintain its lane multiple times and was being operated in a manner which was impeding other vehicles. Officer Lizarzaburu conducted a traffic stop of the vehicle and identified the driver as the defendant. After conducting an investigation at the scene, it is alleged that the defendant operated a motor vehicle while intoxicated by alcohol. The defendant was placed under arrest and transported to the Yorktown Police Department for arrest processing. After further investigation at the Yorktown Police Department, it is alleged that the defendant had a BAC of .18 or more. After processing, the defendant was issued traffic tickets for the above charges and released on his own recognizance to a responsible adult. The defendant is due to appear in the Yorktown Justice Court on June 17, 2021 at 6:00 pm. Comments are closed.
