Yorktown Police report the arrest of 57 year old Yorktown man on a charge of Grand Larceny in the Fourth Degree, a Class "E" Felony.
On 8/14/2017 P.O. Ellsworth was assigned to investigate a larceny complaint made by the defendant. The defendant alleged that he ordered a Gold Leaf Telecaster Guitar valued at approximately $9,500.00 from Musician's Friend online and then claimed he did not receive it. Investigation revealed that the guitar was delivered by UPS and that the defendant subsequently reported to the seller that he never received it. Following the investigation, on 12/13/2017 at 11:02 am the defendant voluntarily appeared at Yorktown Police Headquarters, where he was arrested and charged with Grand Larceny 4th Degree. Following processing on the charge, the defendant was issued an appearance ticket and released on his own recognizance. He is to appear in Yorktown Justice Court on January 16, 2018 at 6:00 pm.
