School Resource Officers Arrest Two Peekskill Juveniles Caught Trespassing at Yorktown High School3/18/2022
Yorktown Police report the arrest of two-fourteen year old males from Peekskill, New York. Defendant 1 is charged with Juvenile Delinquency, the underlying charges if committed by an adult being Criminal Trespass, Resisting Arrest and Obstructing Governmental Administration. Defendant 2 is charged with Juvenile Delinquency, the underlying charge if committed by an adult being Criminal Trespass.
On March 17, 2022, Yorktown High School Resource Officer Doerr was alerted by school staff that there were two unidentified juveniles on the campus. Officer Doerr and Mildred E. Strang Middle School Resource Officer Mundy located the juveniles and began an investigation. Subsequent to their investigation, it is alleged that both juvenile defendants were criminally trespassing on school property. Additionally, it is alleged that Defendant 1 obstructed governmental administration during the course of the investigation and then allegedly resisted arrest. Both defendants were taken into custody and transported to Yorktown Police Headquarters. Both defendants were issued a Juvenile Appearance Ticket in the presence of their parents directing them to appear at the Westchester County Department of Probation on March 22, 2022 at 9:00 am.
