Yorktown Man Arrested for Menacing Two Victims with Hatchet

Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 60 year old Yorktown man who is charged with two counts of Menacing in the Second Degree, a Class “A” Misdemeanor.
 
According to Yorktown Police, on May 4, 2020 at around 1:00 pm, Officer Palladino and several other Yorktown Police Officers responded to a report of a domestic incident. After an investigation was conducted at the scene, it is alleged that the defendant menaced two victims with a hatchet. The defendant was placed under arrest and transported to the Yorktown Police Department for arrest processing.
 
Following processing, the defendant was arraigned on the above charges by the Honorable Salvatore Lagonia, who issued a temporary order of protection on behalf of the two victims. The defendant was then released on his own recognizance.  He is scheduled to appear in the Yorktown Justice Court on June 2, 2020 at 6:00 pm.​
