Traffic Arrest

​Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 23 year old Mahopac man, who is charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation 3rd an Unclassified Misdemeanor, Speeding and Disobeying Traffic Control Device, both being traffic infractions.
 
On May 25, 2018 at about 11:03 PM while on routine patrol P.O. Fortunato conducted a traffic stop on Route 6 in Mohegan Lake. The defendant was identified via a New York State drivers license. It is alleged that the defendant failed to obey a traffic control device and was speeding. A routine NYSPIN check of the defendant revealed that he was allegedly operating a motor vehicle while his privilege to do so was suspended one time for persistent violator. The defendant was placed under arrest and transported to Yorktown Police Department for processing.
 
The defendant was processed and released on his own recognizance. He is due back in Yorktown Justice Court on June 28, 2018 at 6:00 PM to answer the charges.
