Yorktown Police report the arrest of a thirty-eight year old Verplanck man, who is charged with Unlawful Possession of Marijuana, a Violation, and Improper Use of a Dealer’s License Plate, a Traffic Infraction.
On May 27, 2018 at about 2:45 pm, Officer Curtin was on routine patrol on Route 6 in Mohegan Lake when he observed a vehicle without a New York State safety inspection sticker or front license plate. A traffic stop was conducted on the vehicle and the driver was identified as the defendant. Investigation at the scene revealed that the defendant was allegedly operating the vehicle improperly with a car dealer's license plate and allegedly in possession of a small quantity of marijuana. The defendant was issued a traffic ticket and an appearance ticket at the scene. He is scheduled to appear in Yorktown Justice Court on June 28, 2018 at 6:00 pm. Comments are closed.
