Twenty-Two Year Old Yorktown Woman Charged with Assault

Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 22 year old Yorktown woman, who is charged with Assault in the 3RD Degree, a Class A Misdemeanor.
 
On May 23, 2018 at approximately 11:11 PM, Yorktown Police responded to a Yorktown residence for a call of an active domestic with possible injuries.  Upon arrival an investigation revealed that the defendant allegedly struck the victim with her hands and an ice scraper causing injuries to the victim.  The defendant was arrested and transported to Police Headquarters for processing.
 
The defendant was arraigned by the Honorable Judge Lagonia who issued a temporary order of protection protecting the victim.  The defendant was released on her own recognizance and is scheduled to appear in Yorktown Justice Court on June 05, 2018 at 6:00 pm.
