Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 27 year old man who is charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation 2nd an Unclassified Misdemeanor, No/Inadequate Brake/Stop Lamps, Unregistered Motor Vehicle and Uninspected Motor Vehicle, traffic violations.
On April 19, 2018 at about 2:36 PM while on routine patrol P.O. Woodard conducted a traffic stop on Crompond Road. The defendant was identified via a New York State drivers license. It is alleged that the defendant was operating a motor vehicle with no/inadequate brake/stop lamps. A routine NYSPIN check of the defendant revealed that he was allegedly operating a motor vehicle while his privilege to do so was suspended 8 times (7 on 5 dates) for failing to answer summonses, failing to pay fines and failing to pay drivers responsibility. It is also alleged that the motor vehicle the defendant was operating was unregistered and uninspected. The defendant was placed under arrest and transported to Yorktown Police Department for processing. The defendant was processed and released on his own recognizance. He is due back in Yorktown Justice Court on May 17, 2018 at 6:00PM to answer the charges. Comments are closed.
