Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 17-year-old Yorktown man, who is charged with Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the 4th Degree, a Class "E" Felony, and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th Degree, a Class "A" Misdemeanor, as well Unsafe Lane Change, a Traffic Infraction.
On April 11, 2022 at approximately 5:56 pm, Yorktown Police received a report of a larceny from a motor vehicle which was parked at Turkey Mountain Park on Saw Mill River Road. It was alleged that several items, including a cell phone, were taken from the vehicle. On April 27, 2022, the victim contacted Yorktown Police and advised officers that the cell phone had been turned on and was able to determine its location. Following an investigation, the defendant was identified and it is alleged that the defendant was unlawfully in possession of a stolen cell phone, as well as 22 Vyvanse pills, a controlled substance. The defendant was placed under arrest and transported to Yorktown Police Headquarters for arrest processing. The defendant was processed, issued a juvenile appearance ticket and released to a parent. The defendant is due to appear in the Felony Youth Part of the Westchester County Superior Court on May 5, 2022 at 2:00 pm. Comments are closed.
