Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 25-year-old female from Mahopac NY, who is charged with burglary in the first degree, a class B felony and assault in the second degree, a class D felony. The Yorktown Police also report the arrest of a 29-year-old male from Mahopac NY, who is charged with burglary in the first degree, a class B felony and criminal obstruction of breathing or blood circulation, a Class A misdemeanor.
According to police, on October 10, 2020, at approximately 6:26 PM, the Yorktown Police were dispatched to investigate an assault complaint at a Yorktown residence. Following an investigation, it is alleged that the defendants entered a dwelling without permission and while inside the dwelling one of the defendants struck a victim in the head with a metal pipe causing a physical injury. It is further alleged that while inside the dwelling the other defendant applied pressure to another victim’s throat, which impeded his breathing. Both defendants had left the scene prior to police arrival but shortly after responded to YPD HQ, where they were placed under arrest. After arrest processing the defendants were arraigned on the above charges by the Honorable Gary Raniolo. A Temporary Order of Protection was issued on behalf of the victims and both defendants were released after posting bail. The defendants were instructed to appear in the Yorktown Justice Court on October 15, 2020 at 6:00 PM. Comments are closed.
