Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 19 year old Ossining, NY resident and an 18 year old Yorktown, NY resident who are charged with Attempted Criminal Mischief 4th Degree (Hate Crime), a Class “A” Misdemeanor and a 17 year old Yorktown, NY resident who is charged with Juvenile Delinquency, the underlying charge being Attempted Criminal Mischief 4th Degree (Hate Crime), a Class “A” Misdemeanor.
According to police, on June 30, 2020 at approximately 11:19 AM, the Yorktown Police received a report of an incident that had occurred at the Yeshiva Kehilath Yakov, located on Illington Road, on June 28, 2020, at approximately 12:21 AM. Following an investigation, it’s alleged that a group of youths in a vehicle stopped outside the front gate of the Yeshiva Kehilath Yakov and the 17 year old Juvenile allegedly scaled over the gate onto the Yeshiva Kehilath Yakov property and then scaled back over the gate returning to the top of the driveway. It is further alleged that the 17 year old Juvenile, the 18 year old whose name is being withheld due to eligibility for Youthful Offender Status and the 19 year old defendant proceeded to throw several rocks in the direction of the buildings while yelling at the residents. Between July 3rd and July 6th the three defendants were contacted and voluntarily turned themselves in at Yorktown Police Headquarters. Defendant #1 and #2 were processed and arraigned by the Honorable Judge Lagonia who issued a Temporary Order of Protection on behalf of the witness and released on their own recognizance. They are due to appear in the Yorktown Justice Court on August 18, 2020 at 6:00 PM. Defendant #3 was processed on the Juvenile Delinquency charge and is due to appear in the Westchester County Department of Probation on July 9th at 9:00 AM. Comments are closed.
