73 Year Old Man Charged with Attempted Assault After Domestic Incident

Yorktown Police report the arrest of a a 73 year old Yorktown man, who is charged with Attempted Assault in the 3rd degree, a Class "B" Misdemeanor.
 
According to Police, on June 4, 2018 at approximately 8:25 pm, Officer Fortunato was assigned to investigate a report of a physical domestic incident that occurred at a residence in Yorktown.  After conducting an investigation, it is alleged that the defendant did strike the victim in the face causing the victim pain.  The defendant was placed under arrest at the scene and transported to the Yorktown Police Department for arrest processing.
 
The defendant was processed on the above charge and was arraigned by the Honorable Gary Raniolo.  He was ROR'd and a Temporary Order of Protection issued on behalf of the victim.  The defendant is due to appear in the Yorktown Justice Court on July 5, 2018 at 6:00 pm.
