Yorktown Police report the arrest 43 year old Lake Peekskill, NY resident who is charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th Degree, a Class A Misdemeanor, Operating a Vehicle While Registration Suspended, an Unclassified Misdemeanor, as well as, Visibility Distorted/Broken Windshield, Unsafe Tire, Following Too Closely, and Uninspected Vehicle, all Traffic Infractions.
According to police on December 11, 2019 at about 11:56 AM Officer Gregorio was dispatched to a report of a two car property damage auto accident. Upon arrival Officer Gregorio conducted an investigation at the scene. During that investigation a DMV check of the registration of the defendant’s vehicle showed that it is currently suspended for five parking tickets in a 12 month period. At the conclusion of that investigation it is alleged that the defendant was following another vehicle too closely, the defendant’s vehicle was allegedly uninspected, had a broken windshield, an unsafe tire, and it is alleged that the defendant operated the vehicle while the vehicle’s registration was suspended. After an additional investigation was conducted on scene it is further alleged that the defendant was in possession of a quantity of Cocaine. The defendant was placed under arrest and transported to the Yorktown Police Department for processing. Following processing the defendant was issued an appearance ticket and traffic tickets for the above charges and released on his own recognizance. The defendant is due to appear in the Yorktown Justice Court on January 1, 2020 at 6:00 PM. Comments are closed.
