Aggravated DWI Arrest

Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 24 year old Putnam Valley woman, who is charged with Driving While Intoxicated, Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated with a BAC of .18% or More and Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle 3RD Degree, all Unclassified Misdemeanors, Open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle and driving on the shoulder, both Traffic Infractions.
 
On November 01, 2018 at approximately 02:16 AM, Sgt. Rapisarda while on routine patrol observed a vehicle which was allegedly driving very slowly weaving in and out of the shoulder of the roadway.  At that time a vehicle and traffic stop was initiated.  The defendant was identified as the operator and further investigation on scene revealed that the defendant was allegedly driving while intoxicated with an open container of alcohol in the vehicle.  It is further alleged that she was operating a motor vehicle with a BAC of .18% or more and with a suspended license.  The defendant was arrested and transported to Police Headquarters.
 
Upon arrival at Headquarters the defendant was processed on the above charges and later released on $100.00 cash bail to a responsible party.  She is scheduled to appear in Yorktown Justice Court on November 15, 2018 at 06:00 PM.
