Warrant Arrest

Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 34 year-old Mohegan Lake, NY resident who is charged with 2 counts of Criminal Contempt in the 2nd Degree a Class “A” Misdemeanor and 01 count of Criminal Mischief in the 4th Degree, a Class “A” Misdemeanor.
 
On September 1st, 2019 at 11:40 PM, PO Hannigan who was on routine patrol located the defendant who was wanted by the Yorktown Police Department for an active arrest warrant.   It is alleged that on August 5th, 2019 at approximately 8:21 PM the Yorktown Police responded to a Yorktown Address for a Domestic Dispute.  It is alleged that the defendant did kick an interior door causing damage and did violate a valid order of protection issued by the Yorktown Justice Court protecting the victim.  The defendant was arrested at the above location by PO Hannigan on the arrest warrant and transported to the Yorktown Police Department for arrest processing.
 
Following arrest processing, the defendant was arraigned in the Yorktown Justice Court by the Honorable Judge Raniollo.  The defendant was released on his own recognizance and is due back in Yorktown Justice Court on September 3rd, 2019 at 6:00 PM.

Yorktown Man Charged Following Domestic Dispute Investigation

Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 38 year old Yorktown, NY resident who is charged with Criminal Mischief 4th degree, a class “A” Misdemeanor, Attempted Assault in the 3rd degree, a class “B” Misdemeanor and Grand Larceny 4th degree, a class “E” Felony.
 
On September 1, 2019 at approximately 3:47 AM, Officers responded to a residence in Yorktown to investigate a report of a domestic dispute.  Police conducted an investigation and it is alleged that the suspect grabbed the victim by her hair and hit her in the head with a chair causing the victim pain and allegedly attempting to cause her physical injury. It is also alleged that during the domestic dispute that the defendant took one phone from the victim and disabled another to prevent the victim from being able to call 911 for help. Additionally it is alleged that defendant did take the victims cell phone and car keys. The defendant was arrested at the scene and transported to Yorktown Police Department for processing.
 
The defendant was processed on the above charge and arraigned in the Yorktown Justice Court by the Honorable Judge Lagonia. The defendant was released on his own recognizance.  The defendant is scheduled to appear in Yorktown Justice Court on September 24th, 2019 at 6:00 PM.

Katonah Woman Arrested, Charged with Driving While Ability Impaired

Yorktown Police report the arrest of a twenty-six year old Katonah, NY resident who is charged with Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs, an Unclassified Misdemeanor.
 
On September 3rd, 2019 at approximately 5:48 PM the Yorktown Police Department received a call that a motorist was following a motor vehicle being operated erratically on Route 202.  The vehicle was located and a traffic stop was conducted by the Yorktown Police on Route 202.  PO Palladino and PO Lizarzaburu conducted an investigation at the scene and it is alleged that the defendant did operate a motor vehicle while impaired by drugs.  The defendant was arrested at the scene and charged with DWAI Drugs. 
 
The defendant was transported to Yorktown Police Headquarters.  The defendant was later released on her own recognizance to a responsible party and is scheduled to appear in Yorktown Justice Court on September 17th, 2019 at 6:00 PM.

Burglary and Weapon Possession Among Charges Against Cortlandt Manor Man

Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 39 year old Cortlandt Manor, NY resident who is charged with burglary in the 1st degree, a class B felony, criminal mischief in the 2nd degree, a class D felony and criminal possession of a weapon in the 4th degree, a class A misdemeanor.
 
According to Police, on August 29, 2019 at about 7:01 AM, Officer Battista and Officer Vuoso responded for a report of a possible burglary in progress at a Yorktown residence. An investigation at the scene revealed that the defendant allegedly forcibly entered a dwelling using a Pick-Ax.  It is further alleged that the defendant intentionally damaged the front door of the residence and a couch having a total value of $4,000. The defendant was located a short distance from the residence where he was placed under arrest and transported to the Yorktown Police Department for arrest processing.
 
The defendant was processed on the above charges and arraigned by Judge Raniolo, who issued an order of protection on behalf of the victims, and set bail at $10,000 cash or $20,000 bond. The defendant was unable to post bail and was turned over to the Westchester County Department of Corrections. The defendant is scheduled to appear in the Yorktown Justice Court on September 5, 2019 at 6:00 PM.
