Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 38 year old Yorktown, NY resident who is charged with Criminal Mischief 4th degree, a class “A” Misdemeanor, Attempted Assault in the 3rd degree, a class “B” Misdemeanor and Grand Larceny 4th degree, a class “E” Felony.
On September 1, 2019 at approximately 3:47 AM, Officers responded to a residence in Yorktown to investigate a report of a domestic dispute. Police conducted an investigation and it is alleged that the suspect grabbed the victim by her hair and hit her in the head with a chair causing the victim pain and allegedly attempting to cause her physical injury. It is also alleged that during the domestic dispute that the defendant took one phone from the victim and disabled another to prevent the victim from being able to call 911 for help. Additionally it is alleged that defendant did take the victims cell phone and car keys. The defendant was arrested at the scene and transported to Yorktown Police Department for processing. The defendant was processed on the above charge and arraigned in the Yorktown Justice Court by the Honorable Judge Lagonia. The defendant was released on his own recognizance. The defendant is scheduled to appear in Yorktown Justice Court on September 24th, 2019 at 6:00 PM. Comments are closed.
