Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 44 year old Bronx man, who is charged with Identity Theft 1st Degree, a Class D FELONY, Possession of a Forged Instrument 2nd Degree, a Class D FELONY and Attempted Grand Larceny 3rd Degree, a Class D FELONY.
Police report that on July 11, 2018 at about 3:45 PM they responded to the Commerce St Chase Bank on a reported ID Theft in progress. Officers Pavletich and Garcia were dispatched to investigate. Bank personnel informed police that they had been notified by another bank branch that earlier today the defendant had allegedly tried to withdraw money from another person’s account and he currently was allegedly attempting to do the same at their branch. As a result of the investigation the defendant was arrested and charged with allegedly using the identity of another person, possessing a forged instrument, a NYS driver’s license and a credit/debit card, and attempted grand larceny for attempting to withdraw funds from the account. Following his arrest and processing the defendant was arraigned by Judge Lagonia and remanded to the Westchester County Jail, no bail, to appear on July 24, 2018 at 6:00 pm. Comments are closed.
