Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 61 year old Lake Peekskill man, who is charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th degree, a Class "A" Misdemeanor, Expired Registration and Broken Windshield, both Traffic Infractions.
Police report that on April 25, 2018, PO Caprio was conducting surveillance on Curry Street at Jennifer Court when he allegedly observed drug activity inside a vehicle. The operator of the vehicle then left the area and was observed driving West bound on Route 6. PO Caprio observed that the vehicle allegedly had a cracked windshield and initiated a vehicle and traffic stop at Route 6 and the Taconic State Parkway. Further investigation revealed that the defendant allegedly possessed a quantity of crack cocaine and had an expired registration. The defendant was placed under arrest and transported back to Yorktown Police Headquarters for processing. The defendant was released on his own recognizance and he was instructed to appear in Yorktown Justice Court on May 24, 2018 at 6:00 pm. Comments are closed.
