Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 38 year old Mohegan Lake, NY resident who is charged with Criminal Mischief in the Third Degree, a class E Felony.
On 01/01/2020 at about 4:35 AM, P.O. Battista responded to a Yorktown residence for a criminal mischief complaint. Following an investigation, it's alleged that the defendant did intentionally damage a light fixture and house siding in the amount of $1,500. P.O. Battista attempted to make contact with the defendant on the scene but he would not answer the door. On 01/14/2020 at appoximately 3:48 PM the defendant voluntarily appeared at Yorktown Police Headquarters and was placed under arrest and processed. Following processing on the above charge, the defendant was arraigned by Judge Lagonia and was released on his own recognizance. Judge Lagonia additionally endorsed Temporary Order of Protections for the victim and witness. The defendant was instructed to appear in the Yorktown Justice Court on February 18, 2020 at 6:00 PM.
