Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 49 year old Croton-On-Hudson, who is charged with Endangering the Welfare of a Child, a Class "A" Misdemeanor.
On January 22, 2018 at approximately 10:49 AM, Yorktown Police received a 911 call from the Yorktown Presbyterian Church for a report of an unknown woman who tried to remove a child from a pre-school classroom. Upon arrival at the scene, the woman was located and detained for investigation. After further investigation, police allege that the defendant, who is not a relative, entered a pre-school classroom and attempted to take a child out of the arms of a teacher without having the right to do so. The defendant was arrested on the above charge. The defendant was arraigned by the Honorable Salvatore Lagonia who remanded her to the Westchester County Jail in lieu of $1,500 cash bail. She is due back in Yorktown court on February 6, 2018 at 6:00 pm. Comments are closed.
