Domestic Violence Assault Arrest

Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 39 year old Yorktown man, who is charged with Assault in the 3rd degree, a Class "A" Misdemeanor.
 
On 04/28/2018 at approximately 5:19 AM, PO Battista responded to the Yorktown Police Department to investigate a report of a physical domestic dispute that occurred at a Yorktown residence on 04/28/18 at 12:37 AM.  Police conducted an investigation and it is alleged that the defendant did throw the victim against the wall and floor causing the victim pain and injury.
 
On 04/28/2018 at  07:28 AM the defendant was placed under arrest at his residence for Assault in the 3rd Degree and transported to the Yorktown Police Department.  The defendant was processed on the above charge and was arraigned in the Yorktown Justice Court by the Honorable Judge Raniolo.  The defendant was issued a Temporary Order of Protection on the victim’s behalf and was released on his own recognizance.  The defendant is scheduled to appear in the Yorktown Justice Court on May 17th, 2018 at 6:00 PM.
