Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 22 year old Peekskill resident, who is charged with Criminal Possession of Marijuana Fifth Degree, a Class "B" Misdemeanor, Speed in Zone, a Traffic Infraction and Unlicensed Driver, a Traffic Infraction.
According to police, on November 6, 2017, at approximately 9:20 pm, Officer Beyrer and his K-9 Partner "Dallas" were on routine patrol on Route 6. Officer Beyrer observed a vehicle that was travelling above the posted speed limit on Route 6 and a traffic stop was conducted. After making contact with the driver, Officer Beyrer and K-9 "Dallas" began conducting an investigation at the scene. K-9 "Dallas" quickly located 39.5 grams of marijuana that was concealed in the vehicle. The driver was arrested and transported to the Yorktown Police Department for processing on the above charges. Following processing, the defendant was released on $200.00 cash bail. The defendant is due to appear in the Yorktown Justice Court on December 7, 2017 at 6:00 pm. Comments are closed.
