Drunk Driver Causes Head-On Crash on Underhill Ave.

Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 33 year old Yorktown man, who is charged with Driving While Intoxicated and DWI Blood Alcohol Content of .08% or More, both Unclassified Misdemeanors.  He is additionally charge with several traffic infractions.
 
On August 03, 2018, at approximately 4:36 pm, Yorktown Police received a call of a head-on collision on Underhill Avenue.  An investigation on scene revealed that one of the involved drivers was operating the vehicle while intoxicated.  A breath test later revealed that the defendant was operating the vehicle while having a blood alcohol content of .08% or more and that he committed several traffic infractions as well.  The defendant was arrested and transported to Police Headquarters for processing..
 
The defendant was processed on the above charges and released on his own recognizance to a responsible party.  The defendant is due back in Yorktown Court on August 16, 2018 at 6:00 pm.
