Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 25 year old Yorktown Heights, NY, resident, who is charged with Driving While Intoxicated 1st Offense and Operate a Motor Vehicle BAC .08 of 1% 1st Offense, both are Unclassified Misdemeanors, as well as Refusal to Take Breath Test, Crossing Road Hazard Markings and Driving on Shoulder, which are all Traffic Infractions.
On February 12, 2020, at approximately 1:08 AM, while on routine patrol, P.O. Premuto observed a vehicle traveling West bound on Crompond Road allegedly cross over the double yellow lines and then allegedly cross over the fog line and on to the shoulder. He initiated a traffic stop and identified the driver as the defendant. After an investigation on scene, it was determined that the defendant was allegedly driving while intoxicated. When asked to submit to a breath test on scene, the defendant allegedly refused. He was placed under arrest and transported to Yorktown Police Headquarters for processing. Upon further investigation at Yorktown Police Headquarters, the defendant was charged with allegedly having a BAC of .08% or higher. Following processing on the above charges, the defendant was issued uniform traffic tickets and was released on his own recognizance to a responsible party. He is due to appear in Yorktown Justice Court on March 3, 2020, at 6:00 PM. Comments are closed.
