Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 22 year old Mohegan Lake man, who is charged with, Driving While Intoxicated, Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated with a BAC of .18% or More, both unclassified misdemeanors, and Following Too Closely, a traffic infraction.
On September 14, 2018 at about 11:19 PM, Yorktown Police received a call of a motor vehicle accident involving two vehicles on Route 6 at the intersection of Hill Blvd. PO Beyrer and PO Curtis were dispatched to investigate. Following an investigation, it is alleged that the defendant was driving while in an intoxicated and following too closely. The defendant was arrested at the scene and transported to Yorktown Police Headquarters for processing. During processing it is further alleged that the defendant was driving while intoxicated with a BAC of .18 or greater. The defendant was processed on the above charges and was released on his own recognizance to a responsible party. The defendant is due to appear in Yorktown Justice Court on September 27th, 2018 at 6:00 pm. Comments are closed.
