Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 21 year old Amawalk, NY resident who is charged with driving while intoxicated and driving while intoxicated with a BAC of .08% or more, both unclassified misdemeanors. He is additionally charged with no tail lamp, a traffic infraction.
Police report that on November 28, 2019 at approximately 1:48 AM, P.O. David observed a vehicle that allegedly had no tail lamp illuminated. A traffic stop was initiated and an investigation at the scene revealed that the defendant was allegedly driving while intoxicated. The defendant was placed under arrest and transported to the Yorktown Police Department for arrest processing. Upon arrival at headquarters, a further investigation revealed that the defendant allegedly operated his vehicle with a BAC of .08% or more. The defendant was processed on the above charges and released on his own recognizance to a responsible third party. He is due back in the Yorktown Justice Court on December 12, 2019 at 6:00 pm.
