Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 22 year old Peekskill, NY resident who is charged with Driving While Intoxicated 1st Offense and Driving While Intoxicated BAC .08% or More, which are both Unclassified Misdemeanors, as well as Failed to Use Designated Lane and using a hand held mobile device, both Traffic Infractions.
According to Police, on October 24, 2019, at approximately 10:28 PM, Sgt. Kolkmann, P.O. Campion and P.O. Rana responded to a one car motor vehicle accident on Route 6. Upon arrival they observed a black pick up truck which had struck a guard rail. The alleged driver was sitting in the vehicle and was identified as the defendant. After an investigation at the scene, it was determined that the defendant was allegedly driving while intoxicated while using a cell phone. She was placed under arrest and transported to the Yorktown Police Department for processing. Upon the completion of a breath test at Yorktown Police Headquarters, the defendant allegedly had a BAC greater than .08%. Following processing on the above charges, the defendant was issued uniform traffic tickets and released on her own recognizance to a responsible party. The defendant is due to appear in Yorktown Justice Court on November 7, 2019, at 6:00 PM. Comments are closed.
