Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 25 year old Peekskill, NY resident, who is charged with Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs (Previous conviction within ten years), a Class E Felony, Failed to Keep Right and Failed to signal, both of which are Traffic Infractions.
On March 3, 2023 at approximately 3:48 PM, P.O. Lizarzaburu and P.O. Doherty responded to a call of an erratic operator on Valleyview Street in the area of Strawberry Road. Upon arrival P.O. Lizarzaburu identified the defendant as the operator of the vehicle which had allegedly failed to keep right and failed to use a turn signal. After an investigation at the scene, it is alleged that the defendant was driving while his ability was impaired by drugs. It is further alleged that the defendant had a prior conviction for driving while ability impaired by drugs in the Town of Cortlandt. The defendant was placed under arrest and transported to Yorktown Police Headquarters for processing on the above charges. After processing was completed the defendant was issued traffic tickets for the above charges. He was released on his own recognizance to a responsible adult and is due to appear in the Yorktown Justice Court on March 21, 2023 at 6:00 PM. Comments are closed.
