Yorktown Police report the arrest of three 15 year old females and two 16 year old females, from Peekskill, NY, who are all charged with Juvenile Delinquency. The underlying charge if committed by an adult would be Petit Larceny (a class A Misdemeanor).
According to police, on July 23, 2019 at approximately 5:08 PM, Yorktown Police responded to a report of a larceny in progress at Macy’s. Police conducted an investigation and it is alleged that the Juveniles did steal property valued at $571.98. Two of the Juveniles were detained by Macy’s loss prevention and the other three Juveniles were located by the Yorktown Police Department at the location. The Juveniles were placed under arrest and transported to the Yorktown Police Department for arrest processing. The Juveniles were processed on the Juvenile Delinquency charge. The Juveniles were issued a Family Court Appearance Ticket and released to a parent. The Juveniles are due to appear in the Westchester County Department of Probation on August 13, 2019 at 9:00 AM.
