Yorktown Police report the arrest of four male defendants: a 17 year old from Putnam Valley, a 17 year old from Cortlandt Manor, an 18 year old from Mohegan Lake, and a 19 year old from Yorktown Heights, all of whom are charged with one count of Robbery in the 1st Degree, a Class "B" Felony.
On November 5, 2017 at approximately 5:50 pm, Yorktown Police received a 911 phone call reporting a dispute at a Wells Street residence. After responding to the scene, police were met by a male victim who reported that he had just been robbed by four males who had brandished several handguns while fleeing the scene. Members of both the Patrol and Detective Divisions conducted an on-going investigation over the course of several days, and on the evening of November 9th, with the assistance of the Westchester County Aviation Unit, three of the defendants were taken into custody without incident by a team of Yorktown PD officers. The fourth defendant was taken into custody at his residence on the morning of November 10th. All four defendants were processed at Yorktown Police Headquarters. The were all arraigned by the Honorable Gary Raniolo, who issued a Temporary Order of Protection for the victim. The 17 year old from Putnam Valley and the 18 year old from Mohegan Lake were remanded to the Westchester County Jail in lieu of $100,000 cash bail. The 19 year old from Yorktown Heights was released on $10,000 cash bail and the 17 year old from Cortlandt Manor was released on $1,000 cash bail. All of the defendants are due back in Yorktown Justice Court on November 14, 2017 at 6:00 pm. Comments are closed.
