Suspicious Man on Friends Rd. Arrested for Marijuana Possession

Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 19 year old Yorktown man, who is charged with Unlawful Possession of Marijuana, a Violation.
 
According to police, on June 26, 2018 at about 4:15 pm, P.O. Doherty was conducting routine patrol on Friends Road when he made contact with the defendant who was acting suspiciously.  PO Doherty conducted an investigation and it is alleged that the defendant was found to be in possession of marijuana.  The defendant was arrested at the scene and transported to the Yorktown Police Department for arrest processing. 
 
The defendant was issued an appearance ticket and was released on his own recognizance.  He is due back in the Yorktown Justice Court on July 26, 2018 at 6:00 pm.
