Greenwich, CT Man Arrested, Remanded to Jail on Arrest Warrant Following Domestic Incident9/19/2020
Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 43-year-old Greenwich, CT man who is charged with two counts of Criminal Contempt 1st Degree, a Class "E" Felony.
According to police, on August 18, 2020 at approximately 10:50 pm, P.O. Doherty was assigned to investigate the report of a past domestic incident that occurred at a Yorktown residence. Following an investigation by P.O. Doherty, it is alleged that the defendant violated the "stay away" provision of duly served Yorktown Justice Court Temporary Order of Protection by going to the protected party’s residence. After initial attempts to locate the defendant were unsuccessful, an Arrest Warrant was issued for the defendant by the Yorktown Justice Court. On September 17, 2020 at 6:15 pm, the defendant voluntarily surrendered and was placed under arrest on the above charge. Following processing on the charge, the defendant was arraigned in Yorktown Justice Court by the Honorable Gary Raniolo. Following arraignment, the defendant was remanded to the Westchester County Jail in lieu of $25,000 cash bail. The defendant is due to appear in the Yorktown Justice Court on October 1, 2020 at 6:00 pm. Comments are closed.
