Greenwich, CT Man Charged with Strangling, Assaulting Victim and Violating Order of Protection5/10/2018
Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 41 year old Greenwich, CT resident, who is charged with Criminal Contempt in the 1ST Degree a class E Felony, Criminal Obstruction of Breathing, a class A Misdemeanor, Attempted Assault 3RD, a class B Misdemeanor.
On May 05, 2018 at approximately 11:03 PM, Yorktown Police received a call of an assault that occurred at a Yorktown residence. Responding Officers arrived on scene and an investigation revealed that that the defendant allegedly strangled the victim and attempted to assault her and then fled the scene. Further investigation revealed that defendant allegedly violated a duly served Town of Yorktown Justice Court order of protection. On May 06, 2018 the defendant responded to Police Headquarters and turned himself in. He was arrested and processed on the above charges. The defendant was arraigned by the Honorable Judge Lagonia who issued a Temporary Order of Protection in favor of the victim and set bail at $5000.00 cash which he could not post. The defendant was turned over to the custody of the Westchester County Department of Corrections and is due back in Yorktown Court on May 10, 2018 at 6:00 PM. Comments are closed.
