Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 67 year old Yorktown man, who is charged with Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs, an Unclassified Misdemeanor, as well as Fail to Use Designated Lane and Leaving the Scene of a Property Damage Auto Accident, which are both Traffic Infractions.
According to police, on August 27, 2019 at approximately 2:50 pm, Officer Premuto responded to a report of a property damage auto accident involving a vehicle striking a mail box. Upon arrival, Officer Premuto met with and identified the operator and sole occupant of the vehicle as the defendant. After completing an investigation at the scene, the defendant was arrested for driving while his ability to do so was impaired by drugs, as well as failing to use a designated lane and leaving the scene of a property damage auto accident. The defendant was subsequently transported to the Yorktown Police Department for processing. Following processing, the defendant was issued traffic tickets for the above charges and released on his own recognizance to a family member. The defendant is due to appear in the Yorktown Justice Court on September 5, 2019 at 6:00 pm. Comments are closed.
