Yorktown Police report the arrest of a twenty-six year old Yorktown man, who is charged with Grand Larceny 4th degree, a Class "E" Felony.
On August 20th, 2018 Yorktown Police received a report from H&M in the Jefferson Valley Mall reporting that an employee had been making fraudulent return transactions and then placing the money on gift cards without the stores authorization. P.O. Beyrer was assigned to investigate. Following an investigation, it is alleged that from August 12th 2018 at 12:51 pm to August 14th 2018 at 11:00 am, the defendant completed a total of ten separate transactions taking $1,019.80 from the store. On August 22, 2018, the defendant voluntarily appeared at Police Headquarters where he was placed under arrest and was processed on the above charges. The defendant was released on his own recognizance and is due back in Yorktown Court on September 25th, 2018 at 6:00 pm. Comments are closed.
