Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 42 year-old Brookfield, CT resident who is charged with Grand Larceny in the 3rd Degree and Identity Theft in the 1st Degree, both class “D” felonies.
Police report that on 01/01/2020 at about 10:26 AM, PO Battista responded to the Yorktown Police Department for an identity theft and larceny complaint. An investigation revealed that the defendant allegedly stole cash and credit cards from the victim’s residence and made unauthorized purchases totaling $25,007.38 between June 1st, 2019 and January 1st, 2020. On 03/10/2020 at approximately 3:00 PM the defendant voluntarily responded to the Yorktown Police Department and was placed under arrest for the above charges at 3:29 PM. The defendant was transported to the Yorktown Police Department for arrest processing. On 03/10/2020 at 7:00 PM the defendant was arraigned in the Yorktown Justice Court by the Honorable Judge Lagonia. The defendant was served a temporary order of protection on the victims behalf and released on his own recognizance. The defendant is scheduled to appear in the Yorktown Justice Court on 03/24/2020 at 6:00 PM. Comments are closed.
