Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 39 year old Peekskill man, who is charged with Identity Theft 2nd Degree, a Class E FELONY and Possession of a Forged Instrument 2nd Degree, a Class D FELONY.
Police report that on June 26, 2018 they received a report from the Polk County Florida Sheriff’s Department, that one of their residents was a victim of ID theft. Investigation in Florida revealed that one place the identity was used was Yorktown. Det. Davis continued the investigation and was able to identify the defendant as a suspect. As a result of the investigation the defendant was arrested and charged with allegedly using the identity of another person and possessing a forged instrument, a NYS driver’s license. Following his arrest and processing the defendant was arraigned by Judge Lagonia and released on $2,500 cash bail to appear on July 24, 2018 at 6:00 pm. Comments are closed.
