Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 20 year old Yorktown man, who is charged with Driving While Intoxicated, and Driving With Blood Alcohol Content .08% Or More, both Unclassified Misdemeanors, Leaving the Scene Of Property Damage Auto Accident, and Fail To Maintain Lane, both Traffic Infractions.
According to police, on April 29th 2018 at 8:40 am Officers Kaen and Nadoraski were dispatched to Pine Grove Court on the report of a leaving scene auto accident. Upon arrival, PO Kaen conducted an investigation which revealed that a blue Honda had collided with a parked vehicle and then left the scene. Officer Nadoraski checked the area and located an occupied vehicle matching the description of the suspect vehicle which was stopped on Mohansic Ave. An investigation revealed that the operator of said vehicle collided with the parked vehicle on Pinegrove Ct. and then left the scene. Further investigation revealed that the driver operated said vehicle while intoxicated. As a result of the investigation the defendant was arrested at the scene on the charge of Driving While Intoxicated and transported to police headquarters. While at police headquarters, the defendant was additionally charged with Driving with a B.A.C .08% Or More. Following processing, the defendant was issued traffic summons in reference to the aforementioned charges and then released on his own recognizance to a responsible third party. He is scheduled to answer said charges in Yorktown Court on May 10th 2018 at 6:00 pm. Comments are closed.
