Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 24 year old Buchanan, NY resident who is charged with 5 Counts of Making Graffiti, all Class A Misdemeanors.
According to Police, between January 1, 2019 and July 25, 2019 the Yorktown Police responded to 5 separate Graffiti complaints which were located on the sound barrier of Overlook Ave, sound barrier at Rte 6 and Sunnyside, a fence at Barger Street, a Light pole on Old Yorktown Rd and an electrical box on Barger Street. Continuing investigation by Yorktown Officers resulted in Vines-Mevec being charged with Making Graffiti for allegedly spray painting graffiti on the on all the above listed properties. The defendant was processed on the above charges, issued an appearance ticket and later released on his own recognizance. He is due back in Yorktown Justice Court on September 5, 2019 at 06:00 pm.
