Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 24 year old Fishkill, NY resident, who is charged with Criminal Possession of Marijuana Fifth Degree, a Class "B" Misdemeanor.
According to police, on January 17, 2018, at approximately 10:06 pm, Officer Beyrer and his K-9 Partner "Dallas" were on routine patrol on Route 6. Officer Beyrer observed a vehicle that was travelling above the posted speed limit on Route 6 and a traffic stop was conducted. After making contact with the driver and passenger, Officer Beyrer began conducting an investigation into possible marijuana possession. K-9 "Dallas" was deployed and quickly located a quantity of marijuana in excess of 25 grams that was concealed in the vehicle. The passenger was arrested and transported to the Yorktown Police Department for processing on the above charges. Following processing, the defendant was released on $100.00 cash bail. The defendant is due to appear in the Yorktown Justice Court on February 15th, 2018 at 6:00 pm. Comments are closed.
