Yorktown Police report the arrest of fifty-seven year old Katonah man, who is charged with Criminal Mischief in the 3rd Degree, a Class "E" Felony, Resisting Arrest, a Class "A" Misdemeanor, and Disorderly Conduct, a Violation.
On November 5, 2020 at approximately 6:26 pm, Yorktown Police responded to Croton Heights Rd. for a report of an intoxicated disorderly subject blocking the roadway. PO Rohr and PO Doherty were dispatched to investigate. An investigation at the scene was conducted, during which time the defendant allegedly stood in front of a vehicle and blocked the roadway. The defendant then allegedly caused damaged to that same vehicle by punching the hood of the vehicle several times causing damage in excess of $250. Despite multiple police requests to stop striking the vehicle and blocking the roadway, the alleged behavior continued. It’s further alleged that the defendant then aggressively charged at the police officers and a Taser was deployed on the defendant. Upon apprehension, it is alleged that the defendant resisted arrest by not complying with the officers' commands. The defendant was placed under arrest at the scene and transported to the Westchester Medical Center for an evaluation. On November 6, 2020, the defendant was issued an appearance ticket while at the Westchester Medical Center and was released on his own recognizance to a responsible third party. He is due in the Yorktown Justice Court on November 24, 2020 at 6:00 pm. Comments are closed.
