Larceny Arrest

Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 28 year-old Yorktown, NY resident who is charged with Petit Larceny and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th degree, both Class “A” Misdemeanors.                                                                         
 
Police report that on January 26, 2020, PO Caprio was dispatched to investigate a report of a past larceny at BJ’s that occurred on January 17, 2020.  An investigation was conducted at the scene and it is alleged that the defendant did enter BJ’s and steal a Samsung Tablet valued at $469.99.  The defendant was contacted and voluntarily appeared at Yorktown Police Headquarters where he was placed under arrest. While being placed under arrest it is alleged that the defendant possessed 2 mg Alprazolam pills, a controlled substance.
 
The defendant was processed on the above charges and later released on his own recognizance.  He is due back in Yorktown Justice Court on February 18, 2020 at 06:00 pm.
