Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 26 year old Mahopac resident, who is charged with Criminal Possesion of a Controlled Substance 7th degree, Possession of Hypoderic Instrument, Both Class "A" Misdemeanors, Aggravated Unlicensed Operation 3rd Degree, an Unclassified Misdemeanor, as well as Unlicensed Operation a Traffic Infraction.
On November 2, 2017 P.O. Campion and P.O. Gregorio responded to a property damage automobile crash at East Main Street and Route 6 in Jefferson Valley. Investigation at the scene of the crash revealed that the defendant was driving without a license as well as doing so while having his driving privilege suspended in New York for failing to answer a summons. While the defendant was being placed under arrest, the officers found that he was in possession of heroin and a hypodermic needle. The defendant was transported to Yorktown Police Department where he was processed on the above charges and was released on $100.00 cash bail to a family member. He is due back in Yorktown Justice Court on December 5, 2017 at 6:00 pm for arraignment. Comments are closed.
