Yorktown Police report the arrest of a twenty-eight year Mahopac man, who is charged with Obstructing Governmental Administration and Resisting Arrest, both Class “A” Misdemeanors.
On August 7, 2018 at about 12:47 pm, Yorktown Police Officers, along with Lake Mohegan Fire Department and Mohegan Volunteer Ambulance Corps personnel, responded to the Macy’s parking lot for a report of an unconscious subject. While at the scene treating the unconscious victim, the defendant began interfering with the officers and fire/EMS personnel during their life-saving procedures. Officers attempted to arrest defendant, at which time it is alleged that he began struggling with the officers and had to be physically subdued. The defendant was eventually taken into custody and transported back to Yorktown Police Headquarters. He was later arraigned by the Honorable Salvatore Lagonia and released on $500 cash bail. He is scheduled to appear in Yorktown Justice Court on August 28, 2018 at 6:00 pm. He was subsequently turned over to Carmel Police Department on an active Bench Warrant. Comments are closed.
