Mahopac Man with Revoked Driver's License Arrested After Being Stopped for Speeding... Again.11/23/2017
Yorktown Police report the arrest of a twenty-three year old Mahopac resident who is charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation in the 2nd Degree an Unclassified Misdemeanor, Speed In Zone and Uninspected Motor Vehicle, both Traffic Infractions.
On November 22, 2017 at about 2:20 pm, Officer Palladino was on routine patrol on Route 6 in the area of Mountain Brook Dr. Officer Palladino conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle and a routine driver’s license inquiry was performed. That inquiry showed that the defendant's driver's license was revoked for failing to answer seven (7) different summonses in Queens, Mount Pleasant, Cortlandt and Yonkers, and for receiving three speeding summonses within 18 months. The reason for the traffic stop in the first place? Speeding, 65 mph in the posted 45 mph zone. The defendant was arrested at the scene, his car was towed and he was transported to Yorktown Police Headquarters. The defendant was released on $100 cash bail. He is scheduled to appear in Yorktown Justice Court on January 2, 2018 at 6:00 pm. Comments are closed.
