Mahopac Woman Charged with Heroin, Marijuana Possession After Being Found Sleeping in Backyard Shed11/10/2020
Yorktown Police report the arrest of a twenty-five year old Mahopac woman, who is charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th Degree, a Class “A” Misdemeanor, and Unlawful Possession of Marijuana, a Violation.
According to police, on November 8, 2020 at approximately 2:49 am, Yorktown Police received an anonymous tip that a woman was sleeping in a shed in the backyard of a residence on Farm Walk Rd. Officer Battista and several other officers were dispatched to check the area. Upon arrival, Officer Battista located a woman, later identified as the defendant, asleep in a shed. Upon further investigation, it is alleged that the defendant was in possession of a quantity of heroin and a quantity of marijuana. The defendant was placed under arrest and transported to the Yorktown Police Department for processing. After processing, the defendant was issued an appearance ticket and released on her own recognizance and released to a responsible party. The defendant is due to appear in Yorktown Justice Court on November 24, 2020 at 6:00 pm. Comments are closed.
