Jefferson Valley Man Charged with Assault Following Domestic Incident

Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 42 year old Jefferson Valley man, on the charge of Assault in the Third Degree, a Class "A" Misdemeanor.
 
According to police, on 04/26/2018 at about 11:22 pm a call was received from a resident of Jefferson Valley, NY reporting a domestic incident.  P.O. Caprio was assigned to investigate the complaint.  Following an investigation it’s alleged that the defendant intentionally caused physical injury, swelling and substantial pain, to the victim by pushing the victim to the ground and striking them several times with a closed fist. The defendant was placed under arrest at the scene and transported to the Yorktown Police Department for processing.
 
Following processing on the charge, the defendant was being held at the Yorktown Police Department pending arraignment in the Yorktown Justice Court.
