Mohegan Lake Assault Arrest

Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 35 year old Mohegan Lake man, who is charged with Assault in the Third Degree, a Class "A" Misdemeanor.
 
On May 18, 2018 at approximately 12:09 PM Yorktown Police had a walk in complaint of a past assault that occurred at a Stony Street residence around midnight.  P.O. Gregorio, PO Beyrer and Det. Tausz were assigned to investigate.  After an investigation was completed it is alleged that the defendant did strike the victim causing bruises and lacerations to the victims face.
 
On 05/18/2018 at 05:40 PM the defendant voluntarily surrendered himself to the Yorktown Police Department.  The defendant was processed on the above charge and was arraigned in the Yorktown Justice Court by the Honorable Judge Raniolo.  The defendant was issued a Temporary Order of Protection on the victim’s behalf and was released on $500 cash bail.  The defendant is scheduled to appear in Yorktown Justice Court on May 22nd, 2018 at 6:00 PM.
